Dressantos | Prom 💃
As prom season is fast approaching, I've compiled a little look book of some of my favourite dresses from Dressantos that I would love to wear if I were back in year 11 or next year in year 13!
I've divided the dresses into three different categories (Monochrome, Colour and Neutral) so you can find what would suit you best.
Now, I didn't really have a prom as such, I had leavers day which involved dressing up in beautiful dresses, getting a fancy car and having a few pictures taken, however, next year when I leave sixth form, we will be having our May Ball!!! Ive made these look books in the frame of mind of what I know me and my friends would love to wear for the day and I hope you would too!
(all links to the dresses will be on the photos and below)
- MONOCHROME -
To start off this is the Avril Mesh Premium Lace up Dress.
I think this is more of a mess dressy option for prom, its sleek, figure hugging and very flattering. There is a lace up detail on the side of the dress which adds a nice peek-a-boo feature to the aesthetics along with the silver zip along the back and a beautiful mesh body con skirt.
The v cut bodes makes for an elegant and sophisticated look along with the perfect mid length of the dress.
I would couple this dress with very simplistic elegant jewellery and scrappy heals such as these...
Now this is a slightly more dressy gown style and is called The Alexia High to Low Prom Evening Party Dress. The shape of the skirt is mid length at the front and low at the back which gives it an elegant but edgy look with the peep of leg. In the picture, the dress is styled with black strappy heels which is exactly what I would do too. As its quite a high neck I would vouch for a tight fitting small necklace like the one below and maybe a matching bracelet, but only simple little things as its quite a simplistic and elegant dress in itself.
And lastly of the monochrome collection is this stunning white gown. Its called The Eternity Embellished Rhinestone Cut-out Premium Prom Dress. This is such an elegant dress which would bring both style and class to your prom. White is such a staple when it comes to prom as it goes with everything and it will bring out the spring tan that you would have in this season. The cut out style at the side really enhances the figure and brings the waist in. There is a champagne rhinestone feature element to the dress around the waist and the neck which brings some sparkle to the outfit, which I love.
This dress would be perfect for anyone of any skin colour and figure as its a very all round flattering dress which I love.
Even though the dress has a small trail (which also adds to the elegant feel) there is a chance for some snazzy heels to match the rhinestone feature which would be peeping out as you walk, I suggest some heels like the ones below with minimal or no jewellery as the dress is such a statement white gown it doesn't need anything more.
- COLOUR -
This dress, oh my gosh, I love this cute little blue outfit! Its called the Alicia Vintage Style Part Dress. Although the name suggests that this is only a 'party dress' I think this would be perfect for both formal and informal proms. The short length is just right, not too much but not too little. The fit is similar to the Alexia Hight to Low Prom Evening Party Dress in the bodes and it creates such a flattering effect with the length. The pastel colours are perfect for the spring/summer season of prom to bring some brightness to the event but also keeping it cute and girly.
This dress would be perfect with the scrappy heels in the picture or some pastel colours to match the colour scheme of the dress. All in all, its such a bright and happy dress for your leavers day which brings classy and girly together in one.
Now this dress is absolutely beautiful! Its a gorgeous true red with an open back and petal detail on the front and back. Its called The Romeo Red Open Back Fine Flowers Prom Dress. I absolutely adore this dress and at only £50, I think its a complete bargain. This dress would be perfect for both formal and informal proms and would bring attention no matter what the event. Its such a nicely fitting dress as it hugs the torso and hip are and flows straight down from there, elongating the legs. I think, for prom, you can't go wrong with red, its a staple colour for all skin colours and styles and this dress in particular is beautiful!
I would couple this with a small teardrop silver necklace as it would sit perfectly in the cutout at the front of the dress but not draw attention away with a matching necklace and black scrappy heels.
- NEUTRAL / NUDE -
Currently, there is a lot of trends with neutral colours, pinks and nudes along with rose gold and copper and this dress would be perfect to fit with the spring/ summer style and it is called The Lilia Nude Bandage Dress This dress is more of a party prom dress with the short style and as it is fitted all over. This dress would look gorgeous with just about any accessory as it is a very neutral dress however, with the structuring around the chest and the fishtail hemline, it does present the classy look with the more teen style as opposed to very grown up and ball gown like. The top of dress reminds me of Ariana Grande's Grammy dress with the structured piping and this style, of course, brings the eyes up and down the dress when couples with the fish tale, flattering the figure immensely.
I would style this dress with some very simple nude sandal heels to match as to not draw attention away from the dress but to also bring unity to the outfit.
And last but not least, this beautiful gown! Rose gold is all the rage at the moment and the sparkles on this dress just scream 'fashion' and 'prom'. I absolutely love the detailing with the pattern of the glam sparkles as it brings a very retro feel to the gown. Its called The Aileen Rose Gold Sequin Prom / Evening Dress. As the name suggests, this dress has an elegant feel about it with the length and the flowing but fitting style. I in love with this dress for sure! The open back brings a little informality to the style which makes it perfect for prom as we don't want to be dressing like full adults quite yet. This dress is so perfect that I would pair this with any jewellery apart from possibly a backwards necklace. In addition to this, I would wear some very simple heels, possibly metallic rose gold to match.
That is all for my Prom Look Book, if any of you like the dresses, you can find the links on the pictures and also below. Let me know if you decide to go with one of these dresses, Id love to see!
