Animal Cruelty 🐰
Animal cruelty, especially animal testing, is a large part of everything that I stand against.
Animal testing is happening all around the world with companies that you wouldn't necessarily think would do this, one example of this being Mac.
Animal testing puts animals through intense pain and suffering to test out products that we use to do things as simple as washing our hair. Companies claim that the only way that they can prove that products are safe enough for us, to use is by using helpless animals to test them on, most of the time, keeping them caged up and tied down, with no escape.
As someone that is strongly against this act, I do however eat meat and eggs, which some people may consider controversial.
Personally, I don't think that using supplements instead of eating meat would be heathy for me and therefore, I tend to make sure that everything I do eat, has had as minimal impact on the animals welfare and life previously as possible.
I do this by only buying free range eggs from companies that have the seal of approval and the same goes for buying meat produce.
You can do this too, by looking for a free range stamp or even an RSPCA assured logo in order to assure that the animal you are consuming has had a good and healthy life.
A lot of current trends are enhancing the consumption of animal tested products such as MAC makeup.
Many people are unaware of the fact that MAC no longer go by the moto "tested on models, not on animals" and are no longer cruelty free, as of a few years ago. This is due to the need to sell in China (where it is illegal to sell beauty products not tested on animals)
Although there are these trends for such products and companies, there are always alternatives that you can use that refrain from funding this.
PETA have set up a search engine that allows you to search their data base before purchasing a product, so if you want to but cruelty free items, it's really easy to find them (To find this, click on the bunny at the bottom!).
I hope you have had some enlightenment in the matter and I hope you can see things like this from mine and many other peoples point of view.
