Neutral Eye with a Red Matt Lip
I love this neutral look on the eyes with a vibrant matt red lip for days out and those days when you want to look extra in but not too dramatic.
After new year I tend to stick to the more subtle make up looks as its a time for catching up with school work and getting back into the Sixth Form routine (boring, I know) but this is what I wore to a small concert on Saturday!
First I used my mac concealer in the shade NW20 and placed that where I needed it and set it with a powder.
I used this shimmery brown that I deported from a palette ages ago, I think from a no7 set, in my crease using a long fluffy brush. Then using the middle brown, from the w7 in the night palette, I laid down a base on my lid. To finish off I used these two end peach and silver shades, from the w7 up in smoke, palette for the highlight in the centre of the lid and cover of the eye. I then used the individual brown and pulled that half way across my lower lash line and blended that out.
These w7 palettes are great cheap alternatives for the Urban Decay naked palette and are only around £6-7 each with 12 shades in each.
Then for the lip I used the chanel lipstick in the shade 23 - Rouge Orage and then applied a small layer of the same powder. This created the matt effect and is a great thing to know...
For this look I used these brushes and my beauty blender but you can use whatever you feel would work best.
Thanks for reading!
Happy new year,
