Review | Arbonne Make-up
Recently I attended a make up party, if you will, courtesy of one of my bestest friends (Shout out to Naomi!)
During this session, a representative, Ema, showed a range of Arbonne's products and how to use them...
My thoughts going into this were quite negative in all honesty; I, myself, hardly wear make up. I occasionally use a tinted moisturiser and concealer but thats about as heavy as it gets for me in regards for my skin.
However, none of my suspicions came true.
Firstly, we used the easy on the eyes make up remover to remove anything we already had on. Having blonde eyelashes and wearing quite a lot of mascara, I can almost never get my eye lashes back to their natural colour yet this product got everything completely off with ease! It's a miracle!
Next we applies the soothing facial strum and make up primer. The facial durum was quite oily however did refresh my skin tremendously and, along with the make up primer, left a smooth clean canvas to apply the rest of the make up.
As a base, we applied two perfecting liquid foundations, I used alabaster and buff. Alabaster was a perfect match for my skin colour, I'm quite pale so this is quite an abnormal occupancy for me and quite a surprise as to how perfect that match was. Secondly, I used buff as a contour. Buff was two shades darker and a very warm colour and created a brilliant contour to my face as it blended and for on perfectly. So I highly recommend buying two bottles; one in your shade and one that is two shades darker.
After applying that we used the setting pretty setting powder which has a slight peach tone to it and a slight shimmer which gave our faces a nice glow.
For finishing we used ballet brush, lotus lipstick, Java eyeshadow and it's a long story mascara.
The good thing about this company is that they don't use anything that is harmful of clogging for your skin. Most high street and a lot of top end product use mineral oils which are found on the left overs from crude oil and what they use for things such as fuel which is extremely damaging to our skin.
Regarding prices, these products are on the mid to high price range with foundation being £34 for a small-ish bottle however we were told by the representative that she used these products everyday and they can last her over 9 months which is quite impressive.
All in all, I shall be buying quite a few of these products for Christmas and using them when I want that extra bit of glam!
I highly recommend giving this company a go!
