The Christie Mother and Father Sky Dive...
The Christie...
Christies is a hospital in Greater Manchester who care for and treat cancer patients in the UK.
They are one of Europe's largest ad most successful cancer centres and treat over 40,000 patients, just like my grandmother, every year.
It began in the early 1980's as a 30 bed hospital and now stands today with 72,500 staff, 350 volunteers and 27,500 public members and we thought they could do with a little extra funding to help them carry on with the fabulous jobs they are doing...

My Grandmother...
My Grandmother is around 70 years of age and is a survivor of stomach cancer. Many of my family have been hit by the horrific disease and when my grandmother heard the news we were distraught.
She found out that she had stomach cancer 5 years ago and had to have her stomach and gallbladder removed in addition to a long course of chemotherapy.
Thankfully this rid her of her cancer and she is living perfectly well now, all thanks to the kind doctors and nurses who cared for her at Christies and that still do to this day.

How is came about...
My father is an enthusiast for extreme sports and every year he aspires to do something even more daunting, much to my worry.
Just after new year, my father and grandparents talked about what they had done the previous year and what they would like to do.
My father said he would like to do a skydive to which my grandmother replied "I'd like to do that too!"
(My grandmother has no stomach, no gallbladder, is over 70 years old and enjoys watching quiz shows on the television and going around the local market on occasion)
So they both agreed to do the skydive on the first of August and raise money for The Christie...

The Jump...
On the Saturday morning, we all arose early and anxious ready for the day ahead...
Finally at 11 o'clock the plane set off with both my father and grandmother.
They did their jump and were both ecstatic(but with wobbly legs)...
I am so proud of them both for doing such an amazing thing.

Fund Raising...
Thanks to The Mk1 Golf owners club, The Grants bar and many friends and family we have been able to raise over £12,000 for The Christie and are continuing to raise more even now.
I would love it if you could spare just a small amount to donate to such an amazing cause...
