Exam Result Stress...
For some people, they have already received their exam results from their As and A-level exams and I would like to congratulate them all as they managed to achieve a record amount of grades!
I hope everyone got exactly what they deserved, needed and wanted and that the GCSE results should follow in their footsteps...
For me, Thursday the 20th is my results day. Even tho I managed to get the grades I needed in both my mock exams and have a place at my school's sixth form, I'm still extremely nervous for the day as I'm sure many of you will be or were.

So very true... |
Personally I have found a way of getting on and not thinking about this and keeping the stress to a minimum.
This is my five steps to keeping stress free in the run up to results day and the start of school...
Keep yourself occupied with friends and family...
If you keep your self busy doing things you love, not only will the day not be on your mind, but you'll be making the most of the holidays too.
I enjoy going for walks with my friends and watching youtube and tv series' with my family and friends.
A laugh can be a great stress reliever, along with hugs as well, so seeing friends and family can be great to relieve your stress and make your self a lot more relaxed.
Don't stay up too late or sleep in too late...
At night, your brain is most busy so staying up too late isn't always a great thing.
The extra amount your brain is working can make you over react about many things that are on your mind, so if you're already worried about the results and future, this can intensify it and make it even worse.
Make a plan...
Sometimes, preparing for every situation can help.
If you're not the kind of person that can just try and forget about something until it comes, planning for it could help.
Plan for what will happen if you get better grades, the exact grades and a few disappointing ones... This way, although it seems a little negative at times, can really help you as you know what will happen no matter what.
Sometimes not knowing what is going to happen and not being prepared can cause a lot of anxiety so this could help you.
Ask older friends and talk to them for advice...
Older friends and family have been in the exact position as you are in now... Even asking the people that have only just got their A-Level results can help as its fresh in their memory and anyone that has been through it will know how daunting it is and would be happy to help.
Knowing a lot of people were and are in the same boat is a reassuring thing and sometimes you forget that you're not the only one going through what you are.
Think positively...
What ever happens, its going to be okay. No matter what, nothing is going to go so badly that there won't be an option or a place for you to go.
No one will let you struggle and anyone will be there to help if you just ask.
Don't worry, everything, I'm sure, will go to plan.
So good luck everyone and I hope this helps get you through the last few days left.
